Nearly all our players couldn't kick the ball straight all at once, together, at the same time. Not going to happen again so I don't think this is the mini crisis yet. Might be one later, but not yet.

I'm just hoping Slot can brush the magic wand over Jones as he has done on Gravenberch. We're going to need Jones playing like, well not Jones. Quicker rondo type passing.

All managers, and especially new ones, get them.

Klopp dropped points in three of his first four league games for us and had three or four more mini crisis moments that season where were dropped points in two or three games in a row in the league.

Hell looking at how we ended that season, we dropped points in four of the final five games in the league too.

Klopp's record from his first 30 league games with us was W13 D9 L8
Klopp did have a much weaker side though right? Normal to have learning curve of course and the PL is a different beast, but we need top four at least, that's all I'm praying for now.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

My point was that Klopp had constant runs of bad results during that first 30 games in charge.

And Klopp had no pre season with the players as he started in October.

Slot had a mish mash of a pre season thanks to the international stuff in the summer, then got three games with the players before the bulk of them were gone again for more internationals.

Far too early to judge him imo and blips like on Saturday are going to be more common this season than next season (says he hopefully).

We have a few interesting games coming up that will provcide different tpes of tests to what Forest gave us.

Milan will bring more pace and quality to the table, and will come at us down both flanks but especially on their left side as they have serious pace and attacking ability on that side. Hernandez and Leao is a damn fine left side.

Bournemouth are going to come at us very aggressively off the ball and press us hard to cause turn overs and they will have their double pivot in the centre sit in front of the CBs when we have the ball in their half. Can see them playing a bit like a budget Atalanta as Iraola seems to have a variation of that in play with how he sets them up.

West Ham might well be the most open team against us as they have a habit of trying to play against us rather than turtling down.

Each game is going to be a useful learning tool for Slot and will help him decide what exactly he needs to add to the team , his team, in terms of new players. He might have inherited a better team than what Klopp did in 2015, but it was still a team with flaws and a team with some players better suited to a style that may not be exactly what Slot likes or wants.

Think we as supporters need to think less about having a Klopp style team full of Klopp players and think of what Slot may eventually try to build as being closer in style to what Guardiola did in Germany and during his earlier years at City.

Sure, relatively, but it wasn’t mid table like those results suggest. It takes time.

I don't think he's using the squad particularly well at present. A few changes but not sure why jota, salah or dom are playing.

Why 2 keepers or it that mandatory?
