I can see WH giving this a go as they've been abysmal in the league. Sadly i can also see us giving it a go as we did won it last year and Slot won't want to bomb out of a cup early doors.
The reality of it though is it may be better for us to drop out given the amount of games we'll have this season.

Yeah I agree but Macca has played a lot of minutes too & id hate to have him miss important matches if he was to get a knock here.Originally posted by BigChief View PostI can see his point though. All of those players barring Morton need actual game playing time.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Such a shame Elliot is injured as he could have been the third change in the centre for your line up.
Would go, as many said, with one of the younger lads instead of MacAllister though. Rest of your line up I would agree with.
Have the current starters on the bench in case they are needed in the second half, but go with XI that did not start at the weekend so we are getting competitive minutes into the legs of the guys looking to push the starters.
Those back ups need as many minutes as we can spare them imo so that if/when they are needed for the first team they are not coming into the competitive set up cold.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah there has been a drop off in almost every game when subs have come on and I think that is understandably down to them not quite having the same familiarity with the system.
In the two short periods where Chiesa has come on I definitely noticed he lacked the positional discipline we are used to and I think he has in both cameos been desperate to get on the ball and make an impression.
A full 60-70 mins will allow him to relax a bit.Modifying post.

Yep, would give new players to the club/country, like Cheddar, invaluable early game experience along with giving others minutes to gain match sharpness.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Agreed, Macca is our Alonso right now. But a whole new midfield would be a worry (we got cut through by Bournemouth a bit too easily). Some calm and experience will be required especially if we are going with a complete new back line.Originally posted by SB View PostYeah I agree but Macca has played a lot of minutes too & id hate to have him miss important matches if he was to get a knock here. One tit for another.
