Bologna at home 8pm Wednesday 2nd Oct

    Big changes again you’d expect

    Ali or Kweeve
    TAA
    Gomez
    VVD
    Timmy
    Endo
    Jones
    Macca
    Chiesa
    Nunez
    Gakpo
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I think it'll mostly be Slot's preferred starting line up with 2 or 3 rotations.

I think Konate, Robbo, Jota could be in line for rotation and then planned subs at 60 mins for tactical periodization reasons

I reckon it will be something like,

        Becker

        Trent Konate Virgil Tsimikas

        Gravenberch McAllister

        Salah Szoboslai Diaz

        Jota

Any chance Nunez will be recovered from illness in time?

I'd put Quansah in instead of VVD - we can't afford another injury to Konate!

While I have read about this approach, I am still going to get nervous about injuries from over playing players now we are at 2 games a week, based on past experience...

I think that Konate, Robertson, Szobozlai and Jota are players that are going to need their minutes managed Quansah/Gomez, Tsimikas, Jones are fine replacements Nunez for Jota is the obvious one, not sure if he will be back though. I know Gakpo can play centrally but he has looked good from the left
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I am a firm believer in a squad of 16 to 20 players all thinking they are first picks, so we have to give plenty of minutes to players outside of the 12 he has favoured so far (the starting 11 for the second game plus Gakpo). I'm not saying the Bolgna game is necessarily the game to do it, but the Chelsea and Arsenal games are definitely not the place to do it.

Have to go strong in this I reckon, same as in the league.

The new CL format makes it important imo to go strong in order to get 12 to 15 points racked up asap.

It looks like it will be easy to finish in the 9 to 16 placings in the table for it, but that brings extra games in February I think and we will already have CL games in December and January this season thanks to the group/league stage having 8 games instead of the 6 we used to have.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
