I’ve had a good look at it a few times and there are a couple of the classic tells that it might be some kind of fake with a face replacement.

The random zooms that keep happening show some artifacts around his face, though that could be the bit rate of the video. The very presence of those zooms makes me a little suspicious.

I’m also pretty confident that there isn’t enough audio of him speaking to train an artificial recreation, as we used to dable with that tech at my old job. In short - anyone who knows him will be able to tell if it is actually his voice.

If it is a fake… it’s really well done and opens a huge can of worms with regards to what you can and can’t take at face value these days.

It seems completely logical that if such powerful software existed, the first people they would target would be international celebrities like David Coote.

Yeah - that’s where I am with it really. But it should pretty easy to prove one way or another.

Video of him being interviewed here. Same voice IMO… and the scar on his chin matches up perfectly.

Yeah, but personally… if it’s fake it will be the first time I’ve seen one and not been able to tell. But it is only a matter of time until they are indistinguishable.

No way it’s fake, you can tell by the shadows, too perfect, looks like it was done 2019-20 covid times… looks coked up also. Probably cheated on his boyfriend!
