Real Madrid Wednesday 27th 8pm
I feel like this week could be like the week in 2009 when we played Madrid and then United. 4-0 followed by 4-1.
As long as we beat city I’ll be happy but it’d be great to beat Madrid for once also- it won’t go far in the way of getting revenge for the past few years, but with the Trent links, it’d be nice to show him he might be best off staying put. As the saying goes- if you can beat them, don’t join themLast edited by Mr Pink; 27-11-24, 12:17 PM.I don't tip

I think Trent will be on the bench and start vs CityOriginally posted by DerKrampus View PostWhat does a potential Real line up look like without Vinicius, and does this speed up TAA's reintroduction to the starting XI?
They’ll play Mbappe off the left (his best position), Bellingham as a false 9 (as he did last season) and Rodrigo off the right I suspect

Perhaps not having Vinicius will bring out the best of Mbappe.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostI think Trent will be on the bench and start vs City

some crazy talent there. Thinking of having a Real Madrid (7/2) Man city (5/2) double.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostI think Trent will be on the bench and start vs City

Yeah seems the most likely. Will suit Mbappe too as he has a bad habit of trying to run the same channels as Vini jnr.
Though there is a chance Guler might start ahead of Rodrygo imo.
Up front and in the middle they are very close to full strength despite Vini being out. It is at the back where they are sub par at present and the right side of their back line looks pretty shakey.
Then again if Mbappe starts on their left, then their left back gets a higher work load for the night than if Vini Jnr was playing as Mbappe puts in even less of a defensive shift.
In the centre they are going to be a hell of a handfull no matter what trio they go with as they are packed with technically gifted guys that are very mobile, quick and strong.
A trio of Tchouameni, Camavinga and Valverde with Bellingham ahead of them as a false nine looks a very balanced centre and Bellingham left as the false Nine removes the negatives that come with him when he is having one of his not arsed to track back games as all of the trio in the middle will hunt as a unit for 90 minutes.
Really lookig forward to watching the agme though as I think at times Klopp's set ups suited Ancelotti's tactics (in a similar manner to how Tuchel's tactics nearly always seems to cause a stalemate type game vs Klopp teams ) whereas Slot's set up might draw Real a bit further up the pitch as they try to catch us out when we play the ball from the back. I can see (well I hope) Real leaving more space between their midfield and back line as a result.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Didn't know Vini jr was out, that is huge news. We can afford to draw this, City is priority.Last edited by danperkins; 27-11-24, 11:23 AM.
