Good first half from us, very good. Can really fault nobody in red.


We are going toe to toe with a damn good Real Madrid team who are playing well themselves and in general we still look the better team.

Bradley has done really well against Mbappe and it was noticeable that Mbappe quickly stopped trying to go outside him.

Robertson has looked more up for it and more like his old self tonight. One little error but he has been really good in both direction so far.

Think Gravenberch and Jones have been very good. Doing a lot of not so eye catching stuff that is allowing us to keep possession and also to break up or stall Real's counters.




Dare I say that the first 45 minutes has been a really good glimpse at what Slot Ball will be like in the future and what will change is some improvement in quality in maybe a few positions to really lock in the style of play.

Prefer to lock in a top 8 finish as early as possible though than risking ending up in one of the 9 to 16 positions and having two extra games added early in 2025. 12 teams on double figure points atm,and all the remaining teams in the top 16 are on 9 points so 12 or 13 points might cut things fine for a top 8 finish.
