I remember someone pointing out that we are so used to Trent doing **** like this, that nobody bats an eyelid, but if another player does it, it's hailed as genius. I thought it was so true.

Now though when Trent pulls off these passes, people just talk about the pass he missed at a different stage.

It is quite funny that after all the grief in recent years and him being past it since he was 28 or so, he's actually on course to have the greatest individual season in the history of PL, in terms of goal involvements. He may well drop off again, but to even be in that position at this stage is quite phenomenal.

Even in his ‘**** past it’ season he scored 18 league goals and 30 for the season.

The stats are mad. Pretty much every other player in the league of any age and playing any forward position would kill for them.

He looks like he's scanning while he's running and about to control the ball.. meaning he's already seen the space. The pass itself isn't difficult (for him) after that. Fairly insane play.
