If we give VVD the day off for one of these and Trent plays we get to see what he can do as a leader

I don’t care if it’s a semi-final. It’s the League cup, it is not a trophy that makes or breaks a season. We have bigger fish to fry. The League title is there to win. We mustn’t burn out the first teamers in chasing this tin pot again.

Come on guys, we’ve had Slot for half a season and he sticks close to his team for “big” games. I suspect we go pretty strong, aim to win the tie and set us up for the home leg. We’ve got Accrington at the weekend for full rotation and then Forest away.
I think a few players will need to shake the cobwebs off after yesterday as well

To date, Slots level of rotation has been competition based, rather than 'big' game or opposition.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCome on guys, we’ve had Slot for half a season and he sticks close to his team for “big” games. He's been going strong in both PL and CL regardless of opposition. But so far he has rotated much more for Carabao and started fringe/youth players.
I think that will change now as its a semi-final and as you say Accrington in the FA Cup falls between this and the next PL game..

That’s a fair point. Also, with the derby cancelled and no midweek game last week the squad are fairly rested. And this is a semi final after all.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostCome on guys, we’ve had Slot for half a season and he sticks close to his team for “big” games. You mean, something like my team? But yeah, I agree, we'll go strong and hopefully end the season for Spurs.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Will be interesting to see if Kelleher gets the nod. He probably will because he got the last round but it is a semi final, and we have accrington Stanley coming up next then which might be a better one to give him. Jurgen would have given him the carabao but not sure if that agreement has been passed onto Arne.
If Becker hasn't played in 10 days when we rock up to Forest on the 16th, then is he at risk of being rusty??
I'd go strong for this.
Becker
Bradley. Quansah Virgil Tsimikas
Jones Gravenberch Macca
Salah Jota Diaz
