I couldn't give a **** about the LC. The league is there to be won. That's an all in move, all day, every day.

The first was given, probably because it was a tactical foul to break up play. The second was a yellow all day long. He should have been off not celebrating.

Anyway it’s only half time and we a month before they come to Anfield. Mid-week 8pm kick off - hopefully the crowd are up for it. I’m going to be in Vegas for that one.

I thought Trent was good when he came on.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

I hadn’t realised Tsimikas was off the pitch when they scored

it should be our sole aim. Lack of rotation is going to bite us.

              The goal was farsical,

Scored by a player who should have been sent off moments before.

To rub further salt in the wound - because of that challenge, we were down to 10 men when they scored as the officials hadn't let Tsimikas back on the pitch.

Yes, I agree Ken, but that's not what I am worried about. I'm worried that our form is dipping.
                Really?

To be fair, it doesn’t matter whether the first was questionable or not, the fact is it was a yellow. The ref can’t balance it out later with soft calls. The second was a clear-cut yellow, and he should’ve been sent off.

I don't think the first was even a foul, the tactical foul was done by the other guy a second before. Hobbling a defender then scoring when he's off the field sucks, but Ibou 100% had it covered until he just didn't for no apparent reason. We didn't play well, but we weren't particularly bad, and they were no better, we just made a few more mistakes.

If you were to ask me which game it was perfectly acceptable to lose 1-0 then this would be the one. It’s half time in the tie and we are one nil down with the second leg at home.

I think too many supporters just expect us to win every single game. It’s not possible.

Not about us - but Spurs sending their new keeper out to the press after 3 days. Unreal.

I get that, but I don't really think it is. Four wins, 1 draw then losing a first leg away isn't poor form. And we didn't get to the top of the table by playing relentless scintillating football since the summer, we have had plenty of performances like today, but Salah scored and we took three points. We are too reliant on him, we don't have other attackers who can get big numbers for one reason or another, this is true. Ultimately Salah's form will determine who wins the league this year, and I wouldn't bet against him making it happen, but there'll be ups and downs.

Well, my comment obviously has a forward looking and predictive element to it, so I guess we'll find out.

Agree with all of that. Especially about Salah - when he has a quiet game and doesn’t score we need someone else to step up. We need someone else to show that same single minded desire to find the back of the net and get an assist. Either that or we are relying on Salah getting 30 plus goals in the League.
