To be fair, it doesn’t matter whether the first was questionable or not, the fact is it was a yellow. The ref can’t balance it out later with soft calls. The second was a clear-cut yellow, and he should’ve been sent off.

I don't think the first was even a foul, the tactical foul was done by the other guy a second before. Hobbling a defender then scoring when he's off the field sucks, but Ibou 100% had it covered until he just didn't for no apparent reason. We didn't play well, but we weren't particularly bad, and they were no better, we just made a few more mistakes.

And we didn't get to the top of the table by playing relentless scintillating football since the summer, we have had plenty of performances like today, but Salah scored and we took three points. We are too reliant on him, we don't have other attackers who can get big numbers for one reason or another, this is true. Ultimately Salah's form will determine who wins the league this year, and I wouldn't bet against him making it happen, but there'll be ups and downs.

Well, my comment obviously has a forward looking and predictive element to it, so I guess we'll find out.

Agree with all of that. Especially about Salah - when he has a quiet game and doesn’t score we need someone else to step up. We need someone else to show that same single minded desire to find the back of the net and get an assist. Either that or we are relying on Salah getting 30 plus goals in the League.
