This is now a run or form, with a consistent pattern. It’s a problem. Hopefully the second half can get us out of this rut.

We are definitely seeing a pattern in the past few games, we don’t look fresh and the process isn’t creating quality chances. I know Grav has been great but he’s looked miles off of the past few games, he’s simply not a physical DM and he leaves big holes due to his lack of positional knowledge.

Diaz is not a CF, Trent is playing Hollywood balls to no body and no penetration from side. Playing the lads to death for Make Do FC again and we start to crack. We need some new blood to keep the intensity for all the games

Diaz out wide is a useful he runs with it and gets us up the pitch, and gakpo does not. It’s weird that they are being swapped. Not that gakpo is a lethal CF, we don’t have one at the club, but it blunts Diaz and makes gakpo’s cut in and shoot too predictable.

It has worked well though this season. It’s just not working tonight. This is another game where prime Firmino would be perfect up front.

Don't agree with any of that. I think we just need some fast passing, dribbling and pace around the box. We need to confuse their defenders. We can't **** around trying to draw them out with possession, we need to create a bit of chaos on the edge of their box. Need to make them forget their positions. I was serious about Nguhoma - this game actually would suit him (albeit, it's past his bed-time).

They are too well drilled for that.

Watch how quick they get back into position when they lose the ball. It's incredible. We can only hope they tire.

They are very well drilled, what I'm talking about is forcing them to make a mistake either in or near the box. And by mistake, I mean questionable challenge, rather than being out of position.
