I agree with Rudedog on the pen. If the ref gives it VAR isn’t overturning it.

Come now. He did himself no favours by going down so easily in his first few seasons. He cheats as good as the rest of them. Doesn't make it right.Originally posted by labourRed View Post
It ridiculous but Salah is definitely treated differently to other players by refs, and seemingly our own fans.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

very good to be fair. Made me laugh.
He frustrates the **** out of me. When he scores he gets a bye. The last 3 games he's been bang average. Mainly because we insist on playing him for 90 plus minutes every game. I still appreciate him. He's a freak in respect of numbers. I just think he's becoming a passenger.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

That's crazy talk re Salah. The entire team was dormant for the first 45 and then woke up. Salah was no different, as well as play in Szob with two great little passes into the channel for square passes across goal which were both blocked, he was twice unlucky not to win it with a great save and then on the line block. He was heavily involved just didn't come off on this occasion.
That pen call is usually 50/50. Konate uses his body like that often and I've not seen one given against him. Yet.
In this game though the chance of awarding was probably 20% given the precedent the ref set throughout the game of letting things go.
It is nuts that foul threshold unofficially differs inside the penalty area. Imo if ref had a clear view of the leg across / shoulder barge movement then there was enough to give it and let VAR review it.Last edited by BG1973; 16-01-25, 04:07 AM.
