Bournmouth away Saturday 1st Feb 3pm

We all know how important this one is and especially with Arsenal playing City on Sunday. They would have had a slight advantage if we’d had to play the big names in Holland last night but thankfully Arne rotated when it mattered.

Seeing that Timmy played the full match it’s got to be Robbo starting & that was the only selection dilemma imo.

    Ali

    Trent Ibou Virg Robbo

    Gravenberch Macca

    Mo Szoboszlai Gakpo

    Diaz
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I wonder if he's be templated to play Nunez to go after their semi-high line?

Team picks itself with Nunez on 65 if we are struggling to score

The physicality of pretty much all their players is next level and they probably won't play a super low block against us, so there will be space and chances for us as long as we can work our way around their high and mid press. Even in their demolition of Forest, Forest had plenty of good chances

I do think Nunez's style would actually really suit this game, but don't think Slot will trust him in it

          Is being templated quite painful?

Will be difficult but Hughes must have all the data on Iraola having scouted him and hired. He got in a fair few of the players as well I think.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

              No way Gakpo doesn't start.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

They will go man to man against us when they do not have the ball. High energy and high physicality. Iraola is very much from the Gian Piero Gasperini school of footy.

It's contemplated and tempted all rolled into one!

We haven't done super well in matches like this previously - I remember us getting pummelled by Atalanta of course, but there are a couple of others I can't quite remember

On the other hand, we beat them at Anfield so...I guess I'm not sure what to expect

I'm a little more confident about going against a physical quick man to man pressing team under Slot than I was under Klopp tbh.

Slot is more inclined to change tactics mid game and also the way he sets up his teams seems to look to get the man to man teams to stretch themselves through us being comfortable with keeping the ball in deeper
positions before then trying to exploit any space created with a good counter attack.

Should be a tough game though. Plenty of quality in the Bournmeouth team and they also appear to have bought into playing with a real team ethic and they can (I think) do that thing we do where a number of players can switch roles mid play and the team does not suffer for it.

A number of good players in their team to look at and covet as well.

Huijsen for me is the cream of their crop, but guys like Kerkez, Kluivert and Ouattara look pretty good too.

Just looked at their form and they are on an 11 game unbeaten run in the league at present and in their most recent games they put five past Forest and four past Newcastle so their collective tails will be up.

Semenyo is very dangerous too, they have runners everywhere and will give us a game. They are great to watch, tough fixture but great we could rotate heavily last night.

I prefer these games than the low blocks. We have legs too, which are usually negated in a low block. Szob will have a field day.
