It’s a difficult one, obviously it suits FSG but at the same time, going so good in the first half of the season, trust in the squad etc etc. I’m sure there will plenty of changes in the summer.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostWe have glaring gaps in our squad which weren't addressed with a really tough run of games around the corner.

We're hanging on here with minutes to go. There'd be hardly any time to "shift gears" if Quan hadn't have made that block.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostWith all due respect guys, I don't think title winning teams look like title winning teams every time they play. A genuinely good team knows when higher gears are needed an when not. Of course, a title winning team can shift gears when necessary and knows when to conserve energy. I'm not worried about not dominating Wolves here, but I would be if it seemed we don't have additional gears to get comfortable, so a 2 goal + win would be my preference here.

Yeh, and so I doubt myself viz my comment above.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI get the point about not playing well and conserving energy etc but we have been poor for the last few games, and we ain't conserving energy here, we were 2-0 up and comfortable, we put ourselves into trouble and are having to work to hang on hereReally?

But they've been doing this for years and probably have cost us titles doing that crap.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostThe club is never going to sign players with a half season time-horizon though. They'll wait if they feel the right player is worth waiting for. I don't disagree with that tbh. But then I expect we'll win the league with what we have.

What has cost us titles more than anything else, imo of course, is having to try and go toe to toe with financial dopers who don't have to worry about making cock ups with their transfers.
We can argue the toss on our side of things, but remove the financial doping and we have a few more titles to our name.
This coming summer though, well no excuses then for not backing a new manager who will have had a season to evaluate the squad and decide who he wants in and who he wants out.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Well, no. City being unbeatable and a couple of inches against us has cost us a few titles.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostBut they've been doing this for years and probably have cost us titles doing that crap.
No doubt we're under more pressure here than we should be, mind.Really?
