Robbo has those attributes, and if he's used more sparingly this season, I think he will be rejuvinated.Originally posted by Sus View PostThat's the position that concerns me a little actually - no issues with Kerkez, but more that his engine, speed and two-way running will be so fundamental to how our left side plays that if get's injured / needs a break, there's no one in the team who has those attributes
Assuming he stays. One of him or Tsimikas has to be in the shop window this summer, surely?

Surely one will go - assume athletico move has died, as I haven’t heard anything in the last few weeksOriginally posted by Scratch View PostRobbo has those attributes, and if he's used more sparingly this season, I think he will be rejuvinated.

Would prefer him to stay than Timmy, as you make a good point about being rejuvenated. And I think his top speed is still a lot higher than Timmys!

Seems we’ve got a couple of very good young players with lots of potential. Hopefully they’ll make it with us.
Nyoni played well. Looked very good going forward actually and linked up well with Ngumoha. Not only was it a lovely finish, he almost played Ngumoha through with a back heel on the edge of the box, with the rebound eventually leading to his goal.
Mo was about the only player to stand out first half and maybe Szobo, but Ekitike had a few lovely touches and flashes of skill that shows he's got tons of ability. Like a lot of players, really struggled with the pitch.Originally posted by Charly View PostEkitike look good?
Nunez replaced him and missed a decent chance, but overall played quite well again I thought. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Robbos experience would be good, as we dont have many older heads left
Thata said, Im not sure there is a huge amount of difference on the pitch between them at this point. Althoigh Robbo has bèen rum into the ground. Perhaps sittimg on the bench will allow him to conserve his energy fie when Kerkez is unavailable.
Not a fan of the VC not being a first teamer thoughIn the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

What a player he wasOriginally posted by swishtz View Post

To say a 16 year old kid reminds you of a peak Barnes
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

John Barnes had everything. Pace, power, stride and technique, the touch of an angel or the boot of a monster and he was also pretty unselfish. I think the only thing he didn't get was the admiration of the rest of England, who pretty much wasted him in his England career, basically because the rest of the England team was still playing hit and hope football. LFC had a sublime team in the late 1980s and Barnes was pivotal in it. It was pure joy sometimes. I feel really sorry for people who didn't see him in his pomp. One of the greatest players to play for LFC ever.
I truly hope Ngumoha gets somewhere close, but at this point I think a comparison is void. The kid likes to dribble. I mean, most kids do that!Last edited by Tatterdemalion; 31-07-25, 12:16 AM.Really?

I cant remember the defender... they said that the thing that they found most difficult to play against John Barnes was his strength. Once you got shoulder to shoulder he would just knock you flying. Just an amazing athlete on top of everything else
He was close to a complete footballer
Such a shame he did his ankle. Couldnt run after than. And the **** he got playing for England. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
