Not really much to say on the senior players just looking at next signings and the kids:
    1st half team:

Mamardashvili - looked decent with the ball at his feet, GK wise he wasn't really tested

Stephenson - looked decent, again wasn't tested much defensively

Nyoni - I thought was impressive

Rio - looked lively good half.

    2nd half team
Woodman - Again not really tested, got a bit of stick from his former club, not as composed with the ball at his feet as our other keepers and was almost caught out at one point.

Frimpong - Looked good, got up and down the pitch, showed good pace.

    Nallo- looked a bit nervous

Kerkez - was impressive in both attack and defence, looked like a young Andy Robertson.

Doak - I thought he had a decent came, got one assist and should have won a pen.

    Koumas - Ok

Of the kids that were involved I would expect to see Nyoni, Rio and Doak heavily involved in the rest of preseason, the others I'm not so sure about when we have a few more people back.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Stephenson was very impressive considering he’s not a CB . He’s more a RB or midfielder truth be told so a versatile player to have around.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I didn't watch, but I have a question about Rio Ngumoha. When I first saw him (in a first team cup game), I thought he was confident enough to take on his marker, but slowed down the play horribly whilst he did so. Anything to add to that?
            Really?

Nah I’d say that’s a reasonably fair assessment but it also allows other players to get themselves into better positions to receive the ball.

I thought he was quite direct. Id compare him to Diaz in style, maybe.

Seems more filled out a bit. He certainly made the most impression with his dribbling

I was really impressed with his performance. Definitely looked more comfortable and confident than in the cup game but as it’s a preseason game that’s expected. But from the bits I saw of him last season in the youth games and the cup game he looks to have clearly progressed. It’s been a while but maybe a bit of a similar look to when Sterling broke through. Definitely an exciting prospect.

Regarding Tatts comment on him slowing the play down I’d add that IMO that’s not always a bad thing. He likes the ball played to his feet & then he decides whether to try to skin his man with faking to go inside or outside the man which naturally slows down the play but it also gives supporting players time to over or underlap him. I’m pretty sure he’s been told to go out & express himself, especially in PS.

Or give someone the time to just stop and make space as the defenders follow him, before cutting it back into the space for that player to have a shot. He definitely has potential to grow into the squad.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Exactly, he’s shown enough so far to get excited.

I thought the most obvious comparasson was with Doak, from preseason 2 years ago.

Beating players for fun, but just lacking that end product at this stage.

Looking forward to seeing more of him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think Rhys Williams is back after his Morecombe loan. Is there even the most remote chance that he has a squad place this season?

Surely he needs to go. He's not good enough is he?

Yeah that’s a fair comparison but here’s hoping Rio can get his head up more than Doak does.
