Interesting to see which of the young players are there and who goes on tour.

Only Rio, Nyoni, Doak and Stephenson played. Doak you’d expect to be part of this squad anyway and he seems more likely to go still. I wonder if Stephenson is there to add an extra body or is he being assets a a possible extra number for the squad this year.

Rio and Nyoni are clearly on the fringes and I’d wouldn’t be surprised to see both of them get minutes and opportunities on the bench as the season goes on with injuries and cup games.

Danns is fit but not travelling with Sunderland looking like a possible loan for him. It would be great to see him get some game time for a premier league team.

McConnell another who’s been left behind due to a minor injury. I was hoping we’d see of bit of him in preseason. And Bajcetic hasn’t recovered from his hamstring surgery yet.
