I’ll update the table once we sign Kerkez & Wirtz
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He’s also signed a new deal so he gives us a good back up keeper one day or he does well and we can sell for a nice profit.

Yeah I thought he’d make an able deputy when I’ve seen him play so I’m pleased we’ve protected our asset.

SB another one for your loan list.

Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies is close to agreeing a season-long loan at Crawley Town.

Looks like it will be Ali, Mama, and Pesci as the third choice.

I've seen quoted that are paying the Mamardashvili fee over three years with the first two in 24/25 PSR accounts - So in essence for this season within PSR its. a£ 15m fee based over the remaining 4 years of his contract - Peanuts on a PSR level.

In addition our initial fee of Wirtz was paid in this set of accounts also so again offsets PSR liabilities ( same with Frimpong and Kerkez)

So from a finance perspective we have indirectly gained from the Club World Cup

Not sure I'm understanding you Deano? Do you mean we have opted to pay up front for Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez?
How do we gain from the CWC in that?
I imagine I'm being an idiot, but the only stupid question is the one not asked..

                        Nah - Don't Worry

For Frimpong/Wirtz we have taken the first part od PSR in the 24/25 year accounts where we spent bloody nothing - This means on a PSR. basis, we take 20% of the fee on both (based on. 5 year contracts in last year account, so any losses can be depreciated in 24/25 which means we have even more PSR headroom going into 25/26.

In the case GM, we have paid his fee 50% upfront based on instalments, but our PSR will also reflect that - meaning the same £15m is spread across the 4 years left, meaning his cost for 25/26 and onwards is £3.7m a year

Very clever from an accounting point of view in the realms of PSR, which when you add in £60m go Home grown talent go out the door this windows means our PSR is virtually minimal for 24/25 and 25/26 so far

If Isak was available at £150m, we can afford him without selling Diaz/Ninez at this point - Obv we would sell both from a cashflow persepctive but for PSR we haven't got an issues.

Still not sure I'm getting it. So 20% of Frimpong / Wirtz fees taken in 2024 / 25 PSR Accounts?

And that we started their amortisation in that year means if we suffer losses on them we can allocate it to that year?
                          Really?

Yes. Because we spent nothing last year we’ve written off part of the cost of these players due to the TW opening earlier than normal due to the WCC.

So the CWC has opened a sneaky year end window and we've taken advantage of that because we didn't report any major transfers then.

Guaranteed FSG had that planned as soon as the earlier window was announced!
