Holy **** this is exciting, get in a top striker too and our starting XI will be awesome, we can even afford to rotate in midfield.

His vision and control of a football are up there with Barnes, Suarez and Firmino, one of those rare players that seems to be playing the game at a different speed setting to everyone around them.

A lot of that looks more Gerrard-like than Suarez or Firmino to be honest.

Don't want to over-hype him though before he's kicked a ball for us.

false 9? from the left? or an attacking mid? where does everyone see him fitting in?

id love to see him be the new firmino

Dunno but he looks best running at goal not running away from it to come for the ball.

Was hoping he had a middle name like Norbert, not Richard

Think he will play in Szob's position, with Szob moving to 8 / 6 - don't think he will play much as a false 9 or off the left to be honest

Not a big fan of the middle name thread title naming convention tbh.

                    ...
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think he'll be our nr. 10 for sure, Szobo can rotate with him and Macca, but Flo will be our main nr. 10. Today, it looks like him, with Salah and Frimpong on the right, Diaz and Kerkez on the left and Ekitike upfront, awesome.

The fact they are looking for a new 9 once they sell a few players tells you he’ll play as a 10.

Barnes was my first “love” as a Liverpool player but he wasn’t the star he became when we signed him…. Wirtz had every big club in Europe after him. If we had signed Laudrup as we were supposed to it might have been similar

Drool - We only offered him a two year deal, he wanted to come, was desperate but he wanted a 3-4 year deal - Just imagine if he had joined - Jeez
I make no apologies, this is me

                                Did we sign “someone” else?

Edit - Google tells me we signed John Wark in 1983…… good but not Laudrup
