He looks a bit bigger to me. He definitely didnt look out of place alongside the rest of the team.
Obviously only a friendly, but he stood out amongst a team of Premier League winners. If you copypasta'd Diaz over the top of Rio, nobody would have noticed.
I think he needs to be managed, but it would not surprise me to see him get a few minutes in the premier league this season off the bench. Obviously a lot of development of his game and physique will occur over the next few years. But definitely looks like he will breakout in the next couple of years.
Nyoni looks pretty decent too. Not as flashy, but our midfield isnt built to be like that. He slotted into the position with no fuss.

He’s not simply just a speed merchant & he gets the jump on the defenders by sending them the wrong way with trickery & skill compared to just knocking the ball past them & turning on the afterburners. Again we don’t know what his instructions were in the 21’s but results in that age group aren’t as important as each players development. He’s probably been told to go out & express himself when it’s possible to develop that side of his game.

Interesting. I didn't watch him in the friendly, but saw him last season. I don't want to be too critical of him, because he is just a kid, but what I felt about him then was that he slowed down our play too much whilst he decided how he was going to take on his man. Any improvement in that?Originally posted by Pablo View PostLooks good enough to be a squad player this season and a good option from the bench. Seems to have improved rapidly already, decision making in particular is far better. Good players learn from good players. He doesn't look out of place in those training videos that's for sure.

Exactly what I was thinking too. Him & Trey could be a big part of our future & the future looks bright.Originally posted by Pablo View PostLooks good enough to be a squad player this season and a good option from the bench. About time this lad had his own thread. Turns 17 in a few weeks so eligible to sign his first professional contract. Just watched the video of him on the offal & he seems like a level headed very excited young lad to be on the Asian tour with the senior squad. It looks like we’ve got a real red hot talent with this lad. He scored his first senior goal vs Stoke, although it doesn’t officially count, which will have given him confidence. He’s living the dream.
