Often an issue with these young lads...Originally posted by vlahka View PostHe needs to be slightly less greedy. So many times he could have passed to players that were free but he kept wanting to go into the box.
When they get a chance to get in the team they try to hog the spotlight while they have their chance. Maybe it's a lack of maturity, experience, spatial awareness, rabbit in the spotlight moment.
No doubt some training sessions will get his mind right and get his to focus on his team play and less about his own glory.

Nope, he wasn't under contract and still isn't.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostI’m not sure we did, we just got him to agree a contract with us but perhaps there was some tribunal that stated an amount due to Chelsea training him
Nothing stopping him going to a rival club this month and signing a deal with them.

How much did we pay for him again?

Les nouveaux gemsOriginally posted by SB View PostI’m just going to say it but that was an exceptional 30 minutes of football on an embarrassing pitch. He is a real talent this lad & he & Trey Nyoni have such a good understanding of each others game. It’s hard not to get excited but we’ve really got a talent on our hands.

To be honest, if you are a young kid there and you see them spending literal billions on player after player then I can understand not wanting to stay with them

Yeah it’ll be interesting to see if we play Díaz which I imagine will depend on how far along the transfer discussions are. It’d be an absolute buzz for young Rio to get good minutes against quality like that or does Arne show caution ?Originally posted by Pablo View PostI mean it's only early in pre-season but I do think he's improved his decision making, and he moves the ball on a bit quicker. Will keep an eye on him again tomorrow against Milan

I don't want to be too critical of him, because he is just a kid, but what I felt about him then was that he slowed down our play too much whilst he decided how he was going to take on his man. Any improvement in that?

Has a long way to go until he gets the Kenneth + Jerkins seal of approval.

He’s definitely beefed up a bit. Watching the training sessions he’s not looked out of place either. I’ll be happy when he’s signed on the dotted line.
