Thanjk you.

One of the things I like about Rio so much compared to so many wide players nowadays is he is willing and able to cut back in or take the defender on the outside and cross the ball. Looks very comfortable on both feet. Too many players playing as inverted wingers just use their preferred foot only.
Would be nice to play him against PSG, he deserves it. But not Slots style.
Throw something different and unexpected at them there isn’t much to lose to be honest.
I’d like to see a similar team to today. Frimpong and Mo looked good together down the right snd Robertson helps Rio a lot with the guidance he gives him. Ekitike in for Gakpo, shame Isak hasn’t had a few more games to be able to start this one.
Rio is going to spend some time with the England squad as they prepare for the World Cup. I’m not sure if he will play in the friendliest but it will a good experience for him being away and training with the senior squad and Tuchel.
In all seriousness, though good to see him get a chance, Although I kind of find it odd though that they are giving him game time in a WC warm up when he isn't going to the WC...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah I’m surprised too. I just glanced at the lineups after HT & saw he was on . Good experience for the lad.
Has a long way to go until he gets the Kenneth + Jerkins seal of approval.
It's true.
Incredibly skilful on the ball and quick with it, but there are still areas of his game that need quite a bit of work. His crossing is not good, and he almost always chooses to trap the ball and look for the dribble, which can slow an attack down. He often ends up running towards his own goal too far to look for space. He needs to be quicker to release it, look for give and goes, a one touch balls to the striker or midfield or else he will become too predictable and be worked out. At the moment I think he's a bit one dimensional, but I imagine that's the case of lots of players of his age, and we just never see them playing first team football. Bags of potential, but a lot still to work on to get out of the Jermain Pennant mould and into the top tier, and plenty of time to do it. It would probably be preferable for him to continue his development without the huge amount of attention and hype tbh.

100% all the above.
to see him being quickly passed the ball only to see him standing still doing multiple step overs while the rest of the defence sorts itself out. Frustrating!
hes far too focused on his own one to one and loses the overall picture of the attack.
A touch of the curtis jones "look at me" self belief show offs.
no doubting his potential, but we shouldn't hamstring the team just to develop rio.
its best he goes on loan to sharpen his overall game awareness.
Its his tactical awareness, which is probably going to be a bit crap for most 17 year olds, but you would have hoped playmakers get a bit of extra training for when to release the final ball and where to look for runners. Thing is how he will be used in the new system.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
