That equates to 30.4pts over a 38 game season, deep relegation form

It’s just the trajectory that is a concern. I think we are slowly getting worse.

The trajectory is the concern 7 points from out last 9 PL games is relegation form, that good run and late goals at the start of the season are doing some heavy lifting in propping up our position in the table.

Slot winning the league last year buys him time and the chance to put this right IMO but ultimately we need results so how much time it buys him is the question.

There are nagging doubts about how we played in the second half of last season which mean we have been poor for months, the fact that that hasn't been turned around in that time is a worry. The Jota situation has clearly had a massive impact but is it the only thing, is it part of the reason Slot's decision making has been poor? I mentioned the comparison with Dalglish in 91. If Slot is going though something like Kenny was then what is the solution? Kenny quit, not sure him staying would have helped anyone in 91. If your judgement is impaired I'm not sure working through that is going to change things. Not saying that is the case with Slot but I am starting to wonder.

He's such a good footballer. Can link up play, can drive and glide past players and he's strong too plus he can finish. Both footed as well which bar Wirtz we really lack.

He'd be a great buy if we could get him.
Good player but unless he is going to play wide left or right, as a replacement for say Gakpo or Salah, then I don't see him being a good addition. Too attacking to replace Macallister. He would cost as much as Wirtz did imo and if we are spending that kind of money then it should be for 2 x defenders and a couple of wide players.

Coulda-shoulda-woulda but the signing of Isak has been a ****in car crash. He might come good but if he does it will have been at the detriment of this season. Hindsight is wonderful but we should have pulled the plug on the deal, made sure of Guehi and signed a wide player instead to replace Diaz. Maybe Gordon but also as soon as Barcelonas bid for Nico Williams went tits-up, we should have been in there like swimwear.

Right now, next summer will be a bigger summer than last year

Yeah it hasn’t just been this season but started last season and it continues to get worse with now signs of it stopping. Getting a win or two then going back this current form doesn’t give you confidence that it’s turning around any time soon. At this rate there will be no European football next season which can’t happen.

I wonder how much the partying at the end of last season has impacted things. Have the players slacked off knowing the manager let them do it last season and now he can’t get that discipline back. Once you give them the slightest sniff of being able to drop off and take advantage they might take it as a sign of weakness and suddenly the manager doesn’t have the control he used to have. While it was fun at the time and we all had a laugh it probably wasn’t the most professional thing to do.

Difficult one really. Macallister at the moment probably as he's offering very little.

Rodgers would have to sit in the middle for me or maybe slightly more advanced. I'd not have him as a winger as I don't think he's massively suited to that role but he can take defenders on.

Who do you drop for him? As in do you see Rodgers more as a midfielder (attacking or otherwise) or as a winger were we to get him.

I don't dislike him as a player but reckon he would cost massive money and potentially be difficult to fit into the team if he joined our collection of players that favour the left side of attack or midfield.
