Goals are what counts, goals win games, people don't give a **** if Haaland only touches the ball 10 times a game if he scores a couple of goals.

Salah had one of the best seasons in PL history in terms of G/As but people are still insisting he was ****e, if that's the case why have no players who have had great seasons bettered that?

I mean we probably aren’t as far apart as all that - but of the things that are ****ing people off with performance are happening alongside elite numbers of goals and assists then to me it’s moot. Every team would ****ing kill for that set of issues.

To get the chances you have to take the risks and those risks will include losing possession. But if what’s also happening is you are scoring the goals that win games and leagues the fundamentally that’s what it’s all about.

It’s an incredibly low scoring sport so if you’ve got someone who is prolific in that one action then everything else is by the by.

If that guy then goes on to have a less productive season then that’s a different discussion. And if that guy also publically speaks out against the team he performs on that’s another.

But we can’t also claim that, anyone scores that level of goals or gets that level of assists because the team is set up to play for them - because we know that’s not true. My point really is say what ‘you’ will about the current scenario, however we can’t say that his last season was anything short of phenomenal. The stats and awards tell you (therefor not just my opinion)! That this is not true.

Clearly, an attacker scoring and assisting loads is a player doing his job well. However, I would say that the things that are really ****ing people off about his game were evident last season too. Particularly the running into people and losing possession instead of beating them thing. It's off topic anyway.

If you only look at stats, and awards - from players - and journalists and golden boots and topping the anssists charts whilst breaking loads of records across the division… whilst your team wins the League .

What else is there - the ‘played well but didn’t contribute much’ awards for the season

28 goals and 18 assists in 38 games. But out with that he was clearly gash.

Who was better than Salah in the entire division as a forward last season??? Forwards are judged on match winning moments goals and assists. If you provide so many of these that your team wins the ****ing league Id suggest you a had a decent season.

You’ve been peddling this narrative for years and now that you are right in this moment you are right all along. Because you and some others ‘know football’ better??? It’s classic stopped clock behaviour.

He’s ****ed himself for sure by speaking out on Saturday. And he’s been sub pa this season but only when judged against his own outputs and after Saturdays outburst he will most likely be off in either Jan or the Summer.

But this revisionist ‘expert understanding - that only the special few who really know football’ could ever understand that some claim to have is fairly laughable. Salah is coming towards the end of his career in terms of elite level so of course you were going to be right eventually - but it wasn’t last season.

It would be like down grading Halaand ‘sure 100 goals in 100 games - but what the **** else does he do? Some games he only touches the ball once or twice in a half’.

Ah **** off with all of that will you Buzzo. You need to go play some bagpipes or whatever you Scots do on a Tuesday morning.

What with your facts and common sense about the guy who was the most effective (in other words the best) attacking player in the league last season.
