Hope so, at the moment though it looks like Slot may not have faced a wall of 11 before, such is football in the Netherlands

It is conceivable, but so is palace winning the league. I think arsenal are real contenders, and they're currently better than us because we're playing like ******s, but on balance of probabilities, we will stop playing like ******s at some point, probably soon.Originally posted by Norbs View PostThere's a possibility that Slot isn't up to it and that last season the changes were so slight that it was Klopp's influence that carried us. That's not inconceivable

No, that would be thanks to Arteta and PepOriginally posted by BigChief View PostFollowing on from that line of thought...Arteta finally reaches the precipice of being the nearly man and decides to leave before he's pushed and Pep continues his lacklustre worn out form. Leaving us to win another unchallenged title.
Thanks to Klopp.

I still worry a bit about the midfield. It ran out if steam last year. Rotation at the moment is seeing Dom playing elsewhere instead of rested and we could lose Wirtz to the left attacking spot.
Hopefully Bajetic and Nyoni breakthrough this season. Jones I feel needs to learn to step up the tempo a bit in passing forward, but I feel he has dropped behind Macca Dom and Grav in terms of his performances.

The more realistic scenario is WHEN our £100m+ shiny new toys get going we will blow all and sundry away. Even if all of them don't get going together at once.

New signings bedded in and playing well. A settled back 5 in form. Players on the fringe jostling for selection.
But. When it looks good for them is when they tend to falter

Conversely, if Arsenal slip and we don't then everything will be good with the world!

Yep, if you are going to have a "crisis" best to have your crisis when you are top of the league

Also looks a bit tired, tetchy at times! I’d say it’s a right pain in his arse having to do these pre game PCs for every single game.
