Burnley away Sunday 14th Sept 2pm

Hate these International breaks but at least this isn’t a Saturday 1230 KO. So if I’m not mistaken we’ll only have Alisson & Macca doing the long haul to Sth America compared to the 4 players of seasons gone by.

I imagine Sweden won’t be calling Isak up due to no match fitness so he should have time to be put through his paces at the AXA. Frimpong injured but I bet Bradley gets called up. How bad was Konate’s & Wirtz’s injuries?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I'd be surprised if Sweden didn't call up their best player. Good opportunity to get match fitness, but I'm worried that big donkey he plays with will bring him down to his level.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Isak is joining up with them tonight I think I read.

Sweden are playing Slovenia and kosovo - both away from home.

You'd like to think that we will smash these pricks though. Their advantage will obviously be that they are at home and they won't have as many international players as us. However, the fact that it is on the Sunday will be big.

SetPiece FC are at home to forest on the early kick off after the inty break. Will be interesting to see Lego head complain about that in the run up to the game and see if forest can put them under pressure there

I’m actually quite ok with this break right now. It has been an intense start to the season and allows us all to draw breath, and what a position to do it from.

Gives Arne and coaches time to take stock and perhaps work on some of the tactical areas in advance of the players returning next week. Just have to hope for no injuries.

Aye, good to take a step back and breathe a bit. We'll be absolutely buzzing by the time this Burnley match comes around.

Would Isak look to do what Gravenberch did when he first joined and drop out of the internationals to spend the two weeks working at the club to get ready. But then if he’s got some level of fitness a couple of sub appearances for Sweden would be very helpful.

We've no need to fast track him into the side with Ekitike playing so well, so I think getting him some game time with Sweden would actually be more beneficial than staying behind.

Apparently Bradley has a facial injury from the Germany match, can anyone confirm he’s a doubt for this game?

Doesn’t matter, Dom is now the best RB in the league anyway

Well that’s true but it’d be nice to have the option to rest Macca if he comes back knackered from international duty

He got it early on in the game and played the 90 minutes so it can’t be that bad.

This should be a game for Jones, regardless.

We should be able to beat Burnley without Macca (and Alisson for that matter)
