Newcastle didn't have their ducks in a row for the transfer window at all. In terms of incomings or outgoings. I think they will end up having an ok season tbh though.

Hopefully we’ve the title wrapped up and it’s a dead rubber for us… but we beat them anyway to deny them a CL spot or something

To be fair, before the window the only squad position we were obviously short on was CB, and we sold Quansah before we got a proper replacement leaving Gomez as our only experienced backup. Any other window we would all have been moaning about that.

Its not always easy to plan for the future when another club buys your target then your best player in the sane position [emoji16]

He was about as tidy as Wirtz - another big signing that will have to find their feet and develop relationships with other players.

His movement off the ball is also going to create space and opportunities for other players. A lot of focus will be on Isak and Salah so others should be able to take advantage.
