For a player that relies on pace and agility, twisting and turning, it doesn't look good, and will probably be curtains for getting any substantial return (i.e. a hatful of goals) on the investment if it does turn out to be his ACL.

I’m reading a few other accounts that are sports science related - some saying ankle and some saying knee. **** knows, but he looked in pain and with Gakpo injured, Salah away and Wirtz looked like he pulled something then maybe finally he’ll start Chiesa!
To me Wirtz just looked like he did the typical 'I ain't getting that' theatrical run stop, cos straight after he started jogging back just fine. He was subbed for fresh legs, I reckon.

I would not be surprised if Hugo is a fitness doubt; he looked to be struggling a bit before he scored.
