There is absolutely no reason for us to have a transition year. We lost Jota, everything else was done deliberately to improve a winning team, and it's looking like we've shot ourselves in the foot.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostTransition year.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

we buy one of the most attacking full backs in the league then dont pass it to him when he overlapsOriginally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostWell we could have got more out of that, but I'm not sure we'd have deserved it. Salah doesn't deserve a start and with him and Gakpo we have no-one getting around the back with pace. The forwards & forward midfielders need to figure out who is playing where as they are practically falling over each other at times.

Our wide players have no real pace and can't reliably beat a player 1 v 1. Sometimes one glaring weakness can have a knock on effect on the entire team.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostWell we could have got more out of that, but I'm not sure we'd have deserved it. Chiesa look good in my opinion, played with real fire and determination and looked like his engine has had a tune up. I'd give him a run on left wing as I reckon he would do more with it and can miss a header just as well as Gakpo.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostNot one mention from the commentary team about chiesa's involvement in the goal.Last edited by Tatterdemalion; 19-10-25, 06:39 PM.Really?

Why the **** isn't he playing the players he bought in a way that the scouting must have intended? £200m on attackers and Gakpo starts every week, pace and width from Frimpong and he sits on the bench, making a world class striker look anonymous, it's impressively stupid stuff.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Play Salah on the Carabao Cup. Sell him in January, bring in a new wide player. Go get GuehiOriginally posted by badpiggy View PostI vote Frimpong on the right to stretch defences a bit to allow space for Wirtz and Isak or Ekitike. No idea what we're supposed to do about big loopy crosses that routinely scare the living **** out of us.

So so strange. Last season Slot was making so many correct calls, this season zero.
He’s looking daft, not unlucky or the team needing to gel - the tactics are awful and the overloads at the end of the match are reaching embarrassing levels.

But I think it is. Nunez under klopp missed chances. But he got plenty. Last season he didn't miss many and this was telling as the chances under slot weren't being created. Then we go all sorts of big on a striker that scores 90% of his goals in or around the 6 yard box. Who's creating the chances for him?Originally posted by kemm1 View PostThat is not the problem.
Plus nunez would lead the press. Neither of the new lads seem to push as hard.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
