We were only level for about 7 mins in the whole game and given that they scored 2 goals to twice take the lead when the game was level I'm sure they would come out ahead on that
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Gakpo was obviously our biggest threat, could have been a hero.
But he does little to bring others into play...
If a shot isn't on his go to is to chip it to the far post and watch salah get shouldered out of the way.
We've got a deadly striker wandering around like a lost orphan thats wandered into a party.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

          Chiesa with an assist?

Thats 3 assists and 2 goals in 171 minutes.

Cant find a thread for him?

Saw a few interesting things during that game. There were quite a few times where grav wasnt moving. One time kerkez had the ball and wanted to pass to him, but grav just stood there motionless behind the utd player not trying to get into a free position. He had to pass back then I saw him turn and yell at grav. There was also a part where gakpo had totally ignored kerkez running past him to the point where kerkez stopped passing to gakpo too. Could turn toxic. And there was another one where dom was chasing the ball in midfield between 3 or 4 utd players passing it between them. After the 5th try he stopped and looked around himself, like he was wondering why anyone else in our team wasnt helping. We're ****. Nothing to do with confidence as these players dont go international match, do really well, then come back and suddenly play ****. This is completely slot. He'd ****ing with the team for some unknown reason. I cant even be bothered listening to his post match interviews anymore.

He was winning tackles in our half too, the guy is showing the same sort of determination that none of the rest of our forwards seem to possess at the moment

That's a really good observation about how they performed on the international break. Is that correct?

We had enough chances to win it. Yet lost. Players aren't taking easy chances. Salah is way off.. Drop him. Ekiteke has to start somewhere

Some played extremely well, like dom, gakpo, VVD who all scored and did well. Others didnt do anything spectacular but were solid, like wirtz and kerkez who both had a high pass completion rate during it. Wirtz scored a free kick I think.. And Mac allister scored too. At the very least you could say none of them seemed to perform as shocking as they have during the last 4 games for liverpool and even prior to those games.

I get the idea was to change things a bit so the opposition don’t get comfortable against the team and to better manage playing against certain teams or styles but they’ve gone too far. It’s not like it wasn’t working and with the added quality and depth the team would be better placed to get over those issues especially the low blocks.

Time to go back to some basics and get some wins and build form and confidence again.

This has been a recurring issue throughout the season. Players are not making themselves available to receive the ball, which raises the question of whether this is an intentional instruction. The current approach puts too much emphasis on finding difficult passing lanes, which slows our build-up and leads to long periods of possession without penetration. This in turn increases the number of turnovers and reduces control of the game. We need to return to building play through structured phases, creating multiple passing options at each stage. In possession, we must move the ball with purpose and support the player on the ball. Out of possession, we need to apply coordinated pressure to force mistakes and win turnovers higher up the pitch. The current pattern is not delivering effective outcomes.

I feel like Slot has dumped the last vestiges of Klopp's pressing style this season. Surely this cant be by design.

This is like something out of the 80s. We may as well launch it long like Wimbledon or Arsenal if we are going top play with no midfield. It cant be by design surely? Why get Wirtz?
Yea 100 pct on the gap, you could have driven a truck through it at one point.

Definitely not the only issue but for the last 10 years, the team has always had at least one rapid winger playing, usually 2.

Diaz was quick and he’s been sold. Salahs pace is just not the same as it was despite him not being slow.

                            Gakpos initial acceleration isn’t quick.

Ekitike made a difference coming on out wide. It could be time to play him wide and maybe gamble more on Ngumoha.

It seems crazy to say that after the money spent in the summer but I think having a Semenyo and Ekitike on either flanks would give the opposition a lot more to think about.

Or Frimpong. HE caused problems getting beyond the fullback and pulling the ball back. Cheisa keeps getting telling contributions too (although he has no pace). We have so many good options up front.

                              The problem is further back,

                              The defence has no protection

Two rapid wingers plus one fast FB plus Trent who didn't need to go past to cause problems.

Both current full backs (kerkez and bradley) look ineffective going forwards in this system. Both looked much better previously in other teams.

The issues are clearly out wide, but mainly right side which is completely toothless.
