    Fede Chiesa

I couldn't find a thread for him, so... I would have put this in the Eintracht thread, but..

Anyway, I reckon the lad has had a bit of an engine upgrade, so time to give him a few starts, starting with Eintracht. If he can play across the three, I would stick him out left with the instruction to get round the back more often than coming inside. Is he two footed? Don't know, but Gakpo isn't and it really shows.
    Really?

If he doesn’t start ahead of Salah midweek, I’ll shake my fist at Arne!

Personally I'd put Bradley and Frimpong out on the right and try that Szobo in midfield, see if he's any good there.
      Really?

Its hard to know where to put him.

2 goals and 3 assists in 171 minutes I think?

I think Frimpong gives us pace and width we are missing.

Frimpong on the right, Chiesa on the left. Sorted.

Good luck to him. I doubt he’ll play much, but he brings nothing but positive vibes.

Even if he doesn't play much he will probably play more than he has done in the last couple of season

In all seriousness though I agree I don't see him being a regular, but he seems like a good guy. Presumably he has spoken to the new manager and got some encouragement, not sure what his role will be but I guess we will find out.

I mean if its one up front he is 3rd choice. If Nunez does come in, I dont think he has the mobility to play wider. The pace and physicallity seemed too much, but there is a player in there somewhere. We may be bound by funds though

Inability 4231 then youd like to think that he will get minutes.

I heard on one of the anfield wrap podcasts that Iraolas teams tend to go all out, leave everything on the pitch and then the subs come on and do the same. Apparently he also has line ups geared at the team that finishes the games......like Kroupi doing a lot of his work from the bench.

I mean, if the manager thinks he can do a job, then by all means

My biggest concern about him staying would be what it means for our ability to bring in other (non-HG) players as there are a limited number of spots and it looks like we need to do alot of business. So my feeling while good for him on a personal level is that he really needs to contribute in a way that he hasn't done before (or hasn't been given the opportunity to do before)

Hopefully the new boss gets to have a good look at him in PS & makes a decision before the last week of the TW.
