Konate will surely be back for this one. As for right back, Dom might as well get used to it. I don’t recall Ramsay being that bad in his one appearance so if Arne still won’t play him on Saturday, as the only fit senior right back at the club, then he must be like a pub player in training, in which case why is he on the bench?

Not only was Ramsay "not that bad", he was actually quite good. Good enough to make many watching ask why this lad doesn't get a fair go.

But man-manager extraordinaire Arne Slot has decided he's **** and gives nobody a second chance.

Lets use our best midfielder at RB for the rest of the season when he finally breaks Gomez LOL

I don't think Ramsay can play 90 mins, if he gets the nod I would be surprised if he plays much more than an hour if that. Really need Gomez or Konate back because if they are both still missing we only have VVD, Robbo, Kerkez and Ramsay fit ad senior defenders

Gomez, not sure. Putting him up against their left winger would be risky imo..... I reckon it'll be Szob at.right back, with Jones, Grav and Mac in midfield. Endo back on the bench.

He played around an hour for the 21’s on the weekend & was inadvertently responsible for the penalty we gave away with coughing up the ball when he slipped.

Liverpool have rightly avoided putting any pressure on Konate by offering a public timetable for his return. Grief does not work to a fixture list and the club’s priority has been the defender’s wellbeing rather than the points at stake. Still, with Newcastle United visiting Anfield, supporters have been eager for clarity.

James Pearce reports that Konate should be back in time for Saturday’s match, with further positive news on the injury front. “Ibrahima Konate should be back from compassionate leave in time for Saturday, while Gomez has an outside chance of being fit and Curtis Jones is likely to have recovered from illness.” For a Liverpool side that values depth in every department, the prospect of Konate returning alongside Joe Gomez offers a timely lift.

If Gomez is ready to go I’d start him at RB beside Ibou but if he’s not I’d consider Curtis Jones instead of Endo as he’d have a better chance of quietening Gordon.
