thinking of going to the chicago match, but preseason has left a bad taste in my mouth before. especially during a WC year, you wind up paying $100 to watch 17 year olds you've never heard of run around.

who's in the squad this year? which teams definately aren't going to the WC? will their players mind going to america even tho their nation declined on their behalf? if i were them, i'd stay home.

The players that wont be going to the world Cup include Szoboslai and Kerkez. Also the likes of Ngumoha, Gomez and Jones will surely be there too. And perhaps players coming back from injuries like Leoni, Bradley and perhaps Bajcetic Danns etc.....as well as Elliot who wont be signed by Villa so will end up doing a preseason with lfc.

We might have a new manager by then too!!!

Cheapest tickets at Soldier Field $114. I've never been to Soldier Field but looks like those seats are a mile away from the field. Anything decent looks to be close to $200.
I like young women cos there stories are shorter!

Liverpool will also play Wrexham and Leeds United during their pre-season tour of the USA, before taking on Monaco and Como at Anfield ahead of the new Premier League season.

I think most of the Academy kids are in for a big shock , but they’ll never get a better chance to impress the new boss. Same goes for the fringe players.

Monaco on the 9th August and Como1907 on the 16th.
                Modifying post.

Looking at the players who are at the WC that's Alisson, VVD, Gravenberch, MacAllister, Wirtz, Endo, Gakpo and Isak, obviously most of those are (likely) starters so there are opportunities for alot of the fringe players and youngsters to impress before the first teamers come back. Big opportunities for the likes of Jones and Elliott as players who have been around the club for a while to show what they can do and with so many of the midfielders away, likewise Leoni and Jacquet have opportunities. Not sure if Chiesa will still be here but if he isn't Ngumoha will be our most senior forward So presumably there will be opportunities for Danns, Koumas,Wright etc along with McConnell, Nyoni and Bajcetic etc in midfield.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Hopefully there’ll be some new signings in the door by then.

Would love to see this kid get a run in the PS matches as he’s definitely one to watch.

There is good news on the way though. One of Liverpool's most promising young wingers is Joshua Abe. He's super fast and strong and has a wand of a left foot.

Many within the academy circles are already talking about him as someone who is a bigger talent than Rio Ngumoha was at the same age.

Liverpool have agreed a scholarship and a pre-professional deal with Abe, and have even handed him a first-team squad number, with Abe set to wear the no.40 for the Reds next season.

However, for the last few months he has been recovering from a serious injury and there have been question marks over whether he would be able to start pre-season with Andoni Iraola's team.

Well there is good news because it looks like Abe has returned from injury. Lewis Bower reported that Abe was doing ball and gym work during an agency meet with Gersh this week, which means he should be back in time for pre-season.

It's massive news, and it makes Abe the clear player to watch out for in pre-season this summer.

Bajetic is apparently fit & ready to go for preseason. I’d love to see him kick on & hope the injuries are behind him now but my prediction is he’ll pick up a knock before the season starts.

It would be wonderful to see him keep healthy and kick-on. You know how sometimes a young player makes his debut and he's completely unfazed by it and just gets on with it as if he's been there all season? He had that when he made his breakthrough and what's happened to him since is just tragic.
                              Never knowingly optimistic

Totally agree mate, he’s lost what , 1.5 years? He finished early at Las Palmas in 24/25 with a hammy problem?
