FA CUP Man City away Saturday 4th April at 1245pm

A long way off I know but I’m heading over to Japan tomorrow for 3 weeks so getting in early. Here’s hoping they pick up a few injuries while on international duty & ours come back unscathed

Off the top of my head do we only have Macca heading to Sth America this time? It was a real issue when Diaz, Ali , Nunez etc were all over there. And no games for Ekitike, Mo & Ali due to injury too.

How many of our players have been called up for their country’s?

Virg, Cody, Frimpong & Ryan for Holland ?

    Kerkez & Dom for Hungary?

Konate , Flo, Chiesa, Mama , Robbo I imagine have been called up too?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

    Holiday? Enjoy!
For the record, we're going to get bummed.
    Really?

Yeah catching up with family in Tokyo at present but another 6 towns/ cities we’ll be staying in.

And for the record I’m not so sure.

I'd love to go to Japan, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough for the flight and the complete anglo-isolation. At least when I go to Italy / Spain / France / Germany they put up with my attempts at their language before they tell me in perfect English to shut up and speak English. Not sure that happens in Japan....?

It does, very often, especially in the big cities, never had a problem in Tokyo

What threw me was the (almost) total lack of readable language

You can go to an awful lot of places around the world and whilst you don't speak the language, you can at least read the words and be able to translate. Japan/other eastern countries its impossible

Loved it though, spectacular place to visit

Also think we'll get tonked, FTR
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Have you ever played around with the camera function on the Google Translate app? It's kind of insane. I imagine there are others too.

Salah and Chiesa expected to be available.
Frimpong sub last night was precautionary, but will have a scan.
Alisson out for 'a bit longer'.

Last season and the one before Allison missed 10 games in each from injury. This season he up to 13 or 14 so far. Kelleher is 27. Allison 33. Considering the amount of players we rest so they dont break themselves, which does **** all I swear, how is it we didnt just let him be first choice and play Allison here and there. Still prefer him to mama. Also I can spell his ****ing name so that helps.

Because Kelleher is a very good goalkeeper while Alisson is an elite one.

In each of the past 2 seasons, Ali had 28 PL games and Kellher had 10.

What reason would there have been to flip that ratio?

As long as Ali can do 30+ games in PL/Europe per season, then he is number.1.No debate.

Pointing out his injury rate and age is a valid point. Compare Allisons stats to Kellehers, who played 26 games last season and 20 games the year before, only missed 1 game from sickness. Allison is clearly worse off with injuries, and this season its even more. Add in age comparison etc, doesnt matter how good a keeper Allison is, we cant always rely on him and it could be even worse next season. None of ever felt worried when Kelleher was in goal. Cant say the same for mama.

We know Alisson's availability has dipped over the past couple of seasons, but as long as he's playing at least 70% of PL and CL games, then you're still stronger over the season than making Kelleher or whoever your no.2 is the first choice over him.

Fully expecting us to be absolutely ****e tomorrow, we always are after a lengthy break. Can also see us getting a bit of a pummeling.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
