Desert, you among others are being harsh on the team. Yes they have not played well today BUT, Citeh came at Anfield and made it difficult which meant the REDS had to fight for the 3 points. We can't expect teams to roll over at our gaff everytime.
I bet you we will batter Pompey on Wednesday and all will be forgotton.

I'm not sure RS mate. I really was pretty appalled by yesterday's performance and although I agree with you that City made it difficult for us to play we still couldn't string two passes together.

Pompey will be a different proposition all together, they will come and play football and will be a damn more threatening up front than City were. With the way we've been playing I would be absolutely delighted with another 3 points but if we play as poorly as we did yesterday we will get turned over.

I do think Gonzalez is getting there, he's shown flashes of what we all hope he may well prove able to do consistantly given time. Agree about Kewell coming back, he would definitely add something IMO.

I think by the time Kewell was match fit the season would be over even assuming that he was ready to start training now.

I agree with you that Gonzalez has been improving. I hope the injury doesn't take him back too much. Really considering the fact we have to adapt our play to accomodate genuine wingers we should give both him and Gonzalez until the end of January and probably until the end of the season to prove themselves. People seem far too keen to write people off this season.
