It was thiiiiiiiis close, and trust me, I'm a big Finnan supporter...but, in the context of the game, the script was sort of written for Masher to fail! The hype machine in the press was working overtime (MARADONA CALLS HIM A MONSTER!!!!), and (please forgive me if I'm wrong) this was his first start in the competition. He held his ground and put himslelf about magnificently, even after getting a card that I thought was less than fair...

Finnan's first assist was magnificent, but the goal was down more to the industry of Stevie G than anything...
