Normally anyone scoring both goals in a 2-0 win would get my vote for MOM, but tonight it has to be Pennant.

Our best and most threatening player from start to finish. I was a sceptic - didn't want us to sign him and for months it seemed I was right.

I might've been wrong after all. His improvement continues.

Head and shoulders above everyone else - he always looked dangerous, worked hard (how many times did he successfully control a wayward pass?) and got some good crosses in.
Arbeloa, Gerrard, Agger and Mascherano were above average.

Without sounding like I'm related to him or bum him on a frequent basis or something, Pennant was ****ing amazing today. He had 2 people marking him the whole game but still managed to run them to the ground. His crossing was crisp and very concise. **** Simao, this guy really has improved in the last 10 games or so.

Arbeloa was good too.
