Difficult one, but I'll go for Aurelio, actually looked like a genuine quality player all of a sudden.

Honourable mentions: Carra was immense, Gerrard dominated the midfield, Riise has his best game in ages (though he always seems to perform against the chavs) and Dirk Kuyt.... well, what can you say about him, I can't remember us ever having a forward who works so tirelessly, yet is also a genuine threat at the same time. The guy will become a legend at the club

To be honest there wasn't really a player on the pitch who didn't have a good match, all did their jobs and did them well, and it just goes to show with all the different mom picks. Makes a refreshing change, to see the team working as one, i'd rather it this way than have standout players in each match.

But there were several candidates - Kuyt, Carra, Gerrard ... even Pennant played very well.

I have to agree with this one. Aurelio played superb and really, really surprised me! If he plays like this from now on, we have ourselves a great leftback (or left winger, whatever).

But while we're on the subject, I'd like to mention Kuyt too, because he was ****ing inspiring today! And the goal was a beauty.

But credit to all the lads. You made me proud!
