Wigan is actually the toughest match we have between now and crimbo IMHO. All of them are winnable, with or without Xabi and Momo, and I'm sure we'll be fine. And with January just around the corner I think some short term cover will be brought in.

BTW Can't see guthrie playing as he's more of an attacking player. Hobbs played the defensive midfield role for the ressies last year, so maybe he will get the call.

Peltier can also play CM. I know he's played at RB in the cup but I'm sure that he can Play in the middle.

Well you might think that at first glance, but I intend for Stevie G to sit for the start of the match just to feel pompey out, who btw also have a bit of an injury crisis. That would give us a back 3, with two wing backs and a holder, 6 defensive players if needed.

I honestly have no idea. I would assume that he plays more as a defensive midfielder due to the fact that he can play at the back but assumption is the mother of all **** ups.

It was a report from last season when Zenden got injured against Real Betis. I'm not sure if the story above is real, as it hasn't appeared anywhere else.
