Thanjk you.

He's probably right if he's only ever watched championship football and goes into hiding when prem and euro matches are on. He's a good midfielder but only at the level he's playing at now, which is probably similar to his level when he was at Sedan.
Signed from French club Sedan back when Gerard Houllier had his hands on the transfer kitty, Salif Diao was a very expensive roommate for El Hadji Diouf, who was supposed to be the best unknown striker in the world.
We soon realised that Diouf's skills lay in projecting phlegm at opposition supporters and palmed him off on Bolton. Unfortunately he no longer needed a fellow Senegalese roommate, and we were left with a £5million waste of money.
Without wanting to be too harsh on the guy, he had no first touch, no second touch and rarely got a chance for a third. That didn't stop him racking up 59 first team appearances as Houllier persisted with his flops in the hope that one day they would come good.
Diao's golden moment was a decent performance in the centre of midfield against Leeds United back in 2002. He capped it off with a cool finish for his second of only three goals for the club. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there.
After the departure of Gerard Houllier, his replacement Rafael Benitez didn't take too long to suss Diao out, and by the time the transfer window opened in January 2005 he was loaned out to Birmingham City for the rest of the season.
The following season he was packed off to Portsmouth while the club did all they could to sell him, unsuccessfully. He's now at Championship side Stoke City, again on loan. Maybe he's found his level? Salif Diao is Liverpool's 5% that didn't make it.
Think I read something about that, yeah. You'd think that he'd do a bit more to help out though. If I had his kind of cash and supported a small team I'd bust a gut to give them a lift. Then again, I've driven through Stoke many a time on my way to Nottingham and can't blame him if he never set foot there again.
