I feel for Pennant - he's miles out of his depth, and you could see it getting to him when his frustration got the better of him.
He should be asked to kindly leave the club. I play football quite regularly and he's an utter disgrace, I could sign better 40 year olds for the club.

This is indicative of his showing tonight....

Mendes stopped with the ball after he thought he heard the whistle blow, and pennant came flying in, and he still missed him.... He missed a standing man with the ball at his feet. I mean FFS! Is he ****ing blind?!

This is helping. Not half as much as the slagging Revo was giving him mind, but still cathartic none-the-less.

I genuinely feel that a rather large part of me has died over the past two hours.

That was mind numblingly boring football.

It was time to panic when we turned in an utterly pathetic performance at Old Trafford over a month ago.

Team Spirit has gone awol, you gotta show it in then bad times as much,
if not more than the good times.

I'm truly devastated, i've never felt this bad as a Liverpool fan since Houllier's final season when we were playing some depressing football.

I'm not sure I can even be arsed to slag off Pennant again, as Shaggy says the lad is simply out of his depth. Lets hope we get rid in January.
As for tonight...poor, poor, poor. We never looked like breaking them down. We are crying out for some thrust, pace and movement going forward.
With Villa, Arse, Everton & Bolton all losing we blew a big chance to go top 4.

                I'm depressed.........yet again.

You've been spoilt Marky if tonight's performance has devastated you so much

He is not as ****e as you try and make out, and I find the singling out on here utterly pathetic.

He tries to take on his man and to create all the time, a bit too hard for his own liking.
He works his bollocks off, but blows hot and cold.

I could mention several other players who were worse, but I will refrain from that.

                    I bid you good night.

Tomas man, he blows cold and cold. When has he ever blown hot? The League Cup game against Reading and that's it. I feel really sorry for him - he's just not up to it.

Jayus lads was it that bad? I really believed we would challenge this year but I guess I have been thinking that for the last 10 years!!

We are playing dire football at the moment we were absolute pants against City on Saturday and if we were worse tonight I am glad I missed it. Thing is at the start of the season I thought we were playing well but not getting the rub of the green but the confidence has just drained out of the team that plus all the injuries are not helping, still should have beaten Pompey at home tonight though.

I never slag of a player for the sake of it and I take no pleasure from saying it, but Pennant will NEVER be good enough to play for Liverpool Football Club.
                                Sorry Tomas, just being honest.
