Being based in the states I've heard quite a bit about the acquistion model that Gilett uses. In a lot of cases he turns around companies with high brand value but low returns with amazing marketing campaigns. He created a whole new segment in the meat products market putting a premium on a product that was previously deemed poor.
If he views liverpool as a similar opportunity I'll be over the moon. He'll leave the operations untouched and concentrate on the areas where we have the biggest underachievement. Let's face it the return on the Liverpool brand is diabolical.
