    Nabil El Zhar

haven't seen anyone comment on the lads performance, and since i missed the game i wanted to know how he went on in these 20 minutes that he got...
"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

"You would've been happier if you'd chosen to join your mother in her world. " - Ogami Itto

He saw very little of the ball, if I remember correctly.

He got into some very good positions yet no one bothered passing to him, Agger in particular was guilty of it badly one time. Barely touched the ball.

Looked a bit out of his depth yet. Plenty of time for him though.

Didn't impress me but it was his first outing for the first team and probably wouldn't have played if we didn't have that much injuries. Time will tell if he will make it.

On a side note, was quite impressed with Danny Guthrie the one or two times i've seen him play. He seems a confident lad and seems to have lots of ability.

Basically he came on and was played on the right and we then proceeded to play the ball down the left for the rest of the game. So he hardly ever touched the ball, except for one move which I think resulted in a decent bit of play.

one of the things that pissed me off most about wednesdays game to be honest. A new kid comes on, hes playing in a foreign country, and NOT ONE of our established players thought, lets give the new kid a early touch to calm his nerves and settle him in. 6 ****in minutes he had to wait, and even then he was given a hospital ball.

Very good point there. I feel that generally we have too many indivdually minded players anyway. Always hang on to teh ball for too long and never make the early telling pass (take not JAR!)
