I asked Lasty about this and he said he didn't hear any booing either. There was one point where Pennant ****ed up and a few folk shouted at him but no booing. The Wigan fans booed the linesman when he gave a throw in the wrong way.

I watched the match on Irish TV and didn't hear any booing.
Although they did mention that he was booed off at Anfield against Portsmouth.

bit of a myth that really. He wasnt booed off at anfield, there was a big cheer when he went off, but this was because A- he should have went off earlier. B- he was trying to get himself sent off at that point and C- he was tackling himself when he had the ball and even ran off the pitch with the ball at one point!!Originally posted by King Kenny 07 View Post

I was there and heard no boos, although there were the usual individual comments like 'Earn your money, you useless c*nt' as he came on - I suppose you could claim that was an attempt at encouragementComment
