IMO Harry was playing brilliantly in the second half of last season. He has been very unlucky with injuries and I think that it's a good thing that he bit the bullet and had the operation that he needed. Let's hope he gets a good injury free run when he comes back cos there's no doubting his talent when he's on form

The way Gonzo's looked thus far, I don't think Kewell would have to do much at all to get his starting spot back.

Whats the biscuit tin loving Aussie doing these days whens he back?

He'll have to show his TRUE CLASS this time or he'll be gone in the Summer.
But for the wonders of dated posts, I wouldn't be able to tell you if this post was current or one, even two years old. Sadly. He is still the best winger we have, we definitely want him back playing asap.

In his 1st 6 months with us, he was scoring virtually every other game. Watch the season review from that season and you'll be stunned.

We're clearly a stronger unit with him in the side - I don't see it as a coincidence that we've been a weak side this season without him.

Anyone who thinks his Liverpool career is a failure (aside from the injuries) is either a footballing idiot or a comic genius.
Hey Flake - good to have you over here. Must've missed you when you first registered.

I think we've missed Kewell. I know he's not everybodys cup of tea, but when he's on form he's a fantatstic player, I think Rafa rates him highly and will look forward to when he returns

It's not his fault that he gets injured. Look how hard he has worked to recover from all his injuries, to continually be criticised by from what i've a seen a fair amount of 'fans' of our great club.

how do you know how hard he has worked???

Look what happened when he came back from injury last season, he was one of our best players, he may not have racked up a huge number of assists or goals, but he took defenders out of the game creating space for others like Gerrard and Luis Garcia. He's know how to beat his man, he can cross, he can shoot, and whenever he looses the ball, he always tries to win it back.
wishful thinking i'm afraid - THAT harry kewell simply doesn't exist anymore. he's had a few good, not brilliant, patches at LFC but you're only fooling yourself if you think we've got some wonder winger waiting to return from injury

Honestly people should stop criticising a man while he's down, he's fecking injured and every two or three weeks there's a thread on here criticising him.
i've never criticised him for being injured - only for being a shadow of his former self and bottling it in big matches (please don't use a solitary goal against chelsea in a vain attempt to defend him!)

Kewell gives our midfield a better balance. He works his socks off in game after game and tracks back a lot.

Riise and Kewell was probably the best left side combination in the league the last six months last season.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I agree af - Kewell did give us that balance.

If he returns soon then he'll be a big bonus for us.

Kewell was good but it took him ages to get fit enough to be any use at all. i can't see it being any different this time, except he will start his come back in February so by the time he is getting ready to play properly the season will be over.
