Him and Alves would be fantastic. Would also give them those 4 months to get used to the other players and settle in on time for next season.

Saw an article about Mascherano earlier today saying that he could not play for another club as he has already played for 2 clubs this year. They also said he wants out and the only way this could happen would be if West ham would agree and the player to a termination of his contract. Then he would be free to move to Anfield. Can not see this happening though.

Rafa will not spend big in January UNLESS he really needs to do so.

Also, Sevilla will not sell Alves to us if they are still in the La Liga race: they are 3rd at present.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. True about Sevilla and Alves, could see him moving in the summer though, rumours about that the Sevilla manager could be about to go to the Preier League too, he has been learning English of late.

I saw an article on it also, and it stated that if the buying club paid West Ham the £2m (remaining on his contract) as a transfer fee then it would be possible for him to move as the contract would then be terminated.

All depends on West Ham though.

a Mr Hard Man (we don't have anyone with any balls to rough up the opposition anymore, especially with an injury or 2 in the middle)
a Mr Flair Man (prob Alves, he's on fire this season)
a Mr Goal Man (this is difficult as we have 4 quite recent signings, so presuming it is poor Robbie that gets shunted, but who drops down the pecking order and for what reason, or do we take it on the chin and start again with all of them?)

I dont think Id call Alves a flair man myself, but a good attacking fullback,
A flair guy for me would be constantly around the oppositions box, or near to it.

Gago and a quality right winger, Ribery? Only saw him in the world cup but he looked class if you forget the first group game.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry, we can price them away now
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
