    Rafa and Ranieri

I hope Rafa doesn't suffer the same fate as Ranieri did at Chelsea, ie, new wealthy owners take over and expect to win the league in year one and then sack manager when they don't.

Investment will obviously improve our chances, however, I don't think we should expect to automatically win the league because we have got cash. I hate to say it but the Chavs have got a very good team and Manure aren't half bad so it would be ridiculous to assume the title is nailed on.

If we are going to use the cash to buy players and strengthen the squad then we need to expect some bedding in time (oh no not again that sounds like every season I hear you cry!) and we probably won't see the benefits of this investment untill the following season....having said that, I hope I'm wrong and we stroll the league next season

If Rafa is given the time he needs he will win us the league - Long Live Rafa !!!!

I voiced the same concerns yesterday mate. Having said that, this crowd seem to be a sensible lot. who is there better than Rafa out there anyway?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Difference is: Roman is an ego-maniac and therefore needed an ego-maniac as a manager which Ranieri wasn't.
The DIC is a different set-up, no ego-maniac in overall control. They'll give Rafa a fair crack of the whip but I don't expect them to be emotional and generous if they see Rafa failing.
They'll make a business decision and if they can get a better manager than Rafa then so be it. We don't owe Rafa a job, we owe him gratitude for the succes he has brought but if he isn't up to speed and there is better out there then what's the problem?

PS- I expect them to give him a fair run at bringing in success

Dont Worry, Rafa will do even better with more money

I'm just interested to see if Rafa will have the same policy of "That's my price, I'm not going Higher"
"For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son"

I don't think any other manager would have been able to win the CL with Biscan and Traore in the team beating the Italian champions, PL champions and the Italian runners up.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
