We do have fond memories of Rome....

I would hope for Celtic, Lille or Porto..in that order.

I would not want Barca, Inter or Real.

Although, I reckon Rafa would love to whip Real, but they are a different and better team under Capello.

      Capello's never beaten Liverpool though.

I wouldn't mind playing Real at all, but Barca can wait for the later rounds!

Inter would also be a tough tie but I wouldn't be afraid of them, and the rest would do too. So basically for me, anyone but Barca in the next round please!

As per last year, I'd prefer to play a big team such as Real Madrid or Barcelona, that way we can guarantee that the players will be up for it. I'd hate for us to face a smaller team and bow out like we did last year.

If we are going to get number 6 then we have to beat all comers.

          Bring them on, I say...

In order of preference for away ties. Italy is a dive, plus they're cheating feckers.

The Nou Camp is a special, special stadium. Not sure where the away end is, probably in the gods where i've never been.

Cat 1 tickets are bloody surperb!

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

You can blame Germany 2006 for that. The players need a decent holiday after a season

True. We got the upperhand on him.

Going on the places I haven't been to I'll go for Celtic.

Why is the draw only done next week?

Excellent spectacle alright, was supprised at the lack of voice in the stadium though, id prefer European games at Anfield.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

How does one pronounce "Bernabeu"? Everyone used to say 'bern-a-bow' but when that bloke who's not very funny started doing Spanish football on Sky, he said it differently and now loads of people say 'bern-a-bay-oo". Any hispanophones out there to put me right?

We cant get Lille, the Mancs have already got them, that's been decided. Followed by a 1/4 final with Porto should the Portugese overcome their opponents.

We will, of course, get Barcelona! imo

It's the latter. In Madrid wanted to get to the stadium, directed the cabbie to the berna-bow, and all I got was 'que?'.

Said Stadia and he said "ah, berna-bay-oo".

Any other spaniards or spanish speaking english over there we spoke to about the stadium said the same.
