For those of you who don't know who Brough Scott is, he is a leading horse Racing journalist in this country. For many years he was the leading face of Channel four's racing coverage and helped set up the newspaper The Racing Post with Sheikh Mohammed a decade or so ago.
He's just been on 5 Live speaking about the potential effects of the proposed takeover at LFC. I'm a big horse racing fan & Scott is known to have a pretty close relationship with Mohammed.
In a nutshell he reckons it will be good news for LFC. He says its more likely to be a business investment rather than something he will take a personal interest in. He doesn't think the Sheikh is a football fan, but many of his family are. He wouldn't expect him to appear often at LFC. The Sheikh spends most of his time in Dubai & would see LFC as a way of raising further Dubai's profile.
Perhaps most interestingly, Scott says Mohammed is a born winner, will not accept 2nd best & Scott says he has massive resources & will use them to make LFC the leading football 'brand' in the world. Scott feels he will take Abramovich head on & spend big to make us no.1.
