Cisse could have been a world beater!

I really believe this but only if we had signed him when he was a 18-19 year old when all the hype was surrounding him, if you think about it he has all the qualities to be a top player. He has a mean shot not always the best at one on ones but I think he probably has more goals from freekicks than Riise, Gerrard or Alonso. He has the most natural speed I have ever seen on anyone that isn't a pro sprinter, he is also quite tall I think he must be at least 6"1 so is a threat in the air. Just a shame he hasn't got a football brain.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm right though he had all the qualities, I think if he was coached under Jose Pekerman he would be one of the best players in the world at the moment, Pekerman is probably the best coach in the world for coaching youngsters.

Take away his pace and there is not much else IMO - he is very athletic but his touch and vision is pretty dire you have to agree.

Also, did he have the right attitude for Rafa? Who knows how hard Rafa tried to work on him.

I have to agree with you take away his pace and he had nothing really, he just had all the right attributes to be a world class player. I don't think Rafa really likes players that have loud personalities to be honest.

he was an athlete more than a footballer...best thing he had going for him in football terms was the fact that his right foot was the equivalent of JAR's left - with those two in the team we had arguably the hardest left & right shots in football.

Although saying that, for all his faults he did have a bit of an eye for goal...

Has Pennant got a loud personality? I don't know, I think Rafa rates Pennant more than Cisse though.

He's certainly got a mouth on him....not sure Rafa will bear with him for much longer...esp on his form so far.

But....fair play to the lad, if he shrugs off the boo boys and puts in the work then hopefully he can get the results. If not he should be moved on.
