I think this is the end of the Gerrard rumours!

I have to say I was nervous that he could leave this summer as he hasn't signed a new contract and there isn't any looking as if it is coming. With the investment I can see him signing a new contract in the summer that will probably run out in 2012-13.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rafa will now have the money to buy players he wants and can allow Gerrard to leave

Eh, where have you been? He signed a four year contract in the summer last year, why would he be siging a new one a year later?!

You don't start discussing a new contract until generally you have 1-2 years left, you don't need to sign a new contract every other year otherwise what's the point of having 4 year contracts?

He won't start discussing a new contract until next season when he is in the 3rd year of his contract, unless they make him a long term offer next summer to keep him until the end of his career.

I'd imagine contract talks will start in the new year with a view to having it wrapped up by the Summer. Even if we're ****ing loaded do not let someone like him have his contract under 2 years, we could lose a potential fortune if he decided to **** off. Its already happened with Owen.

Yeah he signed a contract in 2005 didn't he? so 2007 is the last year we can get any decent money from him, if we were to sell him.

Didn't he say he wasn't going anywhere, isn't that enough for you nervy supporters? You're analysing too deeply, he won't be going anywhere.

I would have though we'd all be a bit bored of talking about Gerrard's contract now.
